Almyrida

Almyrida is a small, scenic fisherman’s village ideal for relaxation and romantic sunsets at the balcony. Almyrida is located 20 Km east of Chania, 15Km from the Souda harbor and 30Km from Chania International Airport. Starting out as a small fisherman's village has been recently developed to a popular tourist resort. It is an ideal destination for those who seek to enjoy the sun and the sea in a safe clean enviroment, without the hassles of mass tourism.

On the main road, right by the sea you can find restaurants serving traditional specialites and you can enjoy your coffee by the sea in the nearby cafeterias. There are excellent fish taverns serving fresh fish, provided by the local fishermen.

Due to its location, Almyrida is an excellent choise for those who wish to explore the beauties of Chania Perfecture as well as Rethymnon.

Southeast of Almyrida extends Apokoronas. In this part of Chania lie some of the most important of Crete's traditional villages.Vamos, Gavalochori, Xirosterni and Drapanos are just a few of the many graphique villages of the Area. The Lake of Kourna is not far away from Almyrida, as well the great beaches of Georgiopouli, both to the East.
